Neon Graffiti
This new collection of work featuring neon overlaid on aluminum-toned prints reintroduces Leslie’s black and white images of odd and unexpected stone carvings photographed in Europe in the 1990s.
After taking a neon workshop with a renowned neon artist Lili Lakich, Leslie created her first two pieces, La Muse Malade and Paris Postcard. They were crafted from neon overlaid on photographs printed on metal.
Each of the following works are approximately 20×30 inchies.
La Muse Malade
This photo of the tomb of poet Baudelaire was taken at the infamous Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris where many celebrated artists are laid to rest. La Muse Malade was one of Baudelaire’s most noble poems.
